Derrious Gilmore is returning to the Wyoming men’s basketball team.

Gilmore was cleared to return to the team immediately. He was reinstated by the NCAA through an appeal process, and granted his appeal late Tuesday.

He was ruled academically ineligible on January 9th, but was allowed to practice with the team and continue his education at Wyoming. He missed the past nine games during the appeal process.

He played in the team’s first 15 games of the season, including one start against Northern Colorado. He was averaging 4.3 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in the first 15 games.
