Joel Zumaya is not giving up on baseball.

Zumaya will give it one more shot after Tommy John surgery. He is expected to have the surgery at the end of March.

He will have the surgery by Dr. James Andrews. He tore his UCL in his shoulder after 13 pitches last week.

He is expected to be released by the Minnesota Twins by Opening Day. He has missed two straight full seasons.

It is a long shot that he will ever be an effective reliever again.
