The Oregon Ducks college football team is regarded as the fastest team in college football.

But after last night’s performance, Thomas Tyner may have been the fastest team in the state, all by his self. See, the Aloha High School senior running back ran laps around Lakeridge High School on an historic night.

Tyner was able to set a state record with 643 yards and 10 touchdowns in the game. He was able to help Aloha to an 84-63 win.

He broke the previous Oregon record, which was set by West Albany’s Jack LaCoste in 2011 with 508 yards. In the history of high school sports, it is the third largest rushing day ever.

The largest amount is 754 yards by Netcong High School’s John Giannantonio in 1950 in New Jersey.

Tyner had six touchdowns of forty or more yards. In addition, he had three touchdowns of sixty or more yards.

He had 584 yards coming into the game with seven touchdowns. Now, he has 1,228 yards and seventeen touchdowns.

Tyner is expected to play next year on Saturday’s, and the University of Oregon is recruiting Tyner. With Kenjon Barner a senior, Tyner has a chance of having a large role next season should be, indeed, go to Oregon.
