The New York Mets do not plan on trading pitcher Johan Santana.

The Mets are expected to call teams in the off-season. However, they are likely to find little interest in the often-injured pitcher.

He gave up six or more runs in his final five starts, then he went on the disabled list. He is owed $25.5 million next year, which he is definitely not worth now.

His contract includes a $5.5 million dollar buyout should the Mets decide to part ways with him. Then, they would not have to pay the $25 million club option for the 2014 season.

He could still be traded at the trade deadline in July.
