2019 Fleet vs. Express Week 4 Preview

The San Diego Fleet kick off the Week 4 schedule of the Alliance of American Football with the Memphis Express on Saturday afternoon. This is the Express’s first home game since Week 2 against the Arizona Hotshots.

The game will start at 4 pm EST, 3 pm local time at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. The game will be on Bleacher Report Live, a subscription-based service, or AAF.com.

The Fleet are tied with the best record in the Western Conference with a 2-1 record. They are tied with the Hotshots.

The Express come into this game with an 0-3 mark. They are looking for their first win of the season. 

Memphis is one of two winless teams in the league. The Atlanta Legends, who are also in the Eastern Conference, also have an 0-3 record. 

Christian Hackenberg leads the Express in passing. However, he will not receive the nod in this game, as the team’s starting quarterback. 

The Express is expected to start Zach Mettenberg, who has gone 9 of 12 for 75 yards. He also had two touchdowns. 

Zac Stacy is second in the league with 45 carries for 188 yards and one touchdown. 

Reece Horn is the Express’ leading receiver. He is 16th in the lead with eight receptions for 95 yards. 

Fleet quarterback Philip Nelson is the sixth-leading passing in the league. He has gone 36 of 65 for 403 yards. He also has two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Ja’Quan Gardner leads the AAF with 35 carries for 281 yards. He also has three touchdowns. 

Nelson Spruce is the league’s ninth-leading receiver. He has 10 receptions for 118 yards.
