You’re not supposed to give your wedding ring away. Well, for Darius Leonard, he did exactly that following Sunday’s home game for the Indianapolis Colts.
The linebacker gave one lucky fan a glove following the game. He gave the fan, who was wearing his jersey, a glove.
Unbeknownst to him, his wedding ring was still inside the glove. The fans in question knew something was wrong following the game.
“My step-nephew got [Darius Leonard’s] game gloves yesterday,” Bleacher Report’s Tyler Brooke wrote on Twitter. “Plot twist: Leonard’s wedding ring was accidentally in the gloves. Someone help us get his ring back to him.”
Thanks to the power of social media, Leonard saw the message. And thankfully, he’s going to be able to get his wedding ring back.
Leonard responded, “I need that.” Then, Brooke responded back, “Keep me posted! Sounds like we got it taken care of.
His wife may not know that he accidentally gave his ring away. He may have some explaining to do until he gets his ring back into his possession.
