This time around, the Flyers picked up veteran defender Pavel Kubina from the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bolts received a second pick in 2012 or 2013, a fourth-round pick in 2013, and prospect Jon Kalinski.

Kubina missed Saturday night’s game, because the team held him out of the lineup. This also happened earlier this week, as the team was shopping him.

He will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. He is in the final year of a two-year contract.

He has three goals and 11 assists this season in 52 games.

On Thursday, the Flyers swapped draft picks to the Dallas Stars for defender Nicklas Grossman.
