The New Jersey Devils have added Marek Zidlicky.
Zidlicky was acquired from the Minnesota Wild, a moved that has been rumored for days. The Wild received Stephane Veilleux, Nick Palmieri, Kurtis Forster, the Washington Capitals’ second round pick in 2012, and a conditional pick in 2013.
Zidlicky had to waive his no-trade clause to move to the Devils. His relationship has soured with the Wild after spending the past three years with the team.
He had 14 points in 41 games this season. The 14 points come from assists, as he has not scored a goal this season.
He is expected to receive a lot of playing time with the Devils, especially on the man-advantage.
