Boris Diaw has had enough.
The Charlotte Bobcats power forward/center has asked the team for a buyout or trade. He would like to have the Bobcats buy his contract out if he’s not traded by March 15.
He has $9 million remaining on his expiring contract. There are reports that say he consistently frustrates head coach Paul Silas with his passive play.
Silas has also got on Diaw about his conditioning. He is averaging 7.7 points this season in 28.3 minutes per game.
Diaw has been with the Bobcats for the past three years. However, it is time for him to find a new home.
With Diaw leaving, the team would give rookie Bismack Biyombo more playing time. He is very raw and needs time to develop.
Tyrus Thomas is expected to get the bulk of Diaw’s minutes if such a move does take place.
