49ers re-sign free agent Carlos Rogers with a four-year deal

The San Francisco 49ers wanted to keep corner back Carlos Rogers.

The team was able to lock up one of their priorities. Rogers agreed to a four-year deal with the 49ers.

He is expected to make $7.3 million per year.

He signed a one-year deal with the 49ers last se4ason after spending his first six years with the Washington Redskins. He had 43 tackles, six interceptions, 18 passes defended last season.

He also returned one interception for a touchdown. His performance earned him an invitation to his first Pro Bowl in Hawai’i.

Rogers has appeared in 94 games in his career. He has recorded 342 tackles, 14 interceptions, and two touchdowns.
