The San Diego Chargers have signed free agent wide receiver Robert Meachem.
Meachem agreed to a four-year deal with the team. He is now replacing Vincent Jackson, who the team lost on Tuesday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Meachem played his entire career with the New Orleans Saints prior to signing with the Chargers. He was the 27th pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
He has appeared in 62 games, including 25 starts for the Saints. In those games, he has had 141 receptions for 2,269 yards and 23 touchdowns,
He had a career-year in 2009 when he had a career-high 45 receptions. He also had 722 yards and 23 touchdowns.
