Anthony Rendon was injured tonight while playing for Single-A Potomac.
Rendon’s injury status and his injury is not immediately known at this time. He went down after rounding third base and needed help off the field.
He hit a double in the fourth inning against Lynchburg. He was running to home plate after an ensuing base hit when he was injured.
Rendon is regarded as the second-best prospect in the Nationals system behind top prospect Bryce Harper.
