The Toronto Blue Jays will honor two former baseball players before its home opener.
The Blue Jays will honor Mitch MacLean and Tanner Craswell before the game with the Boston Red Shox at the Rogers Centre. The team has paid for the flight and accomodations for their families to be in attendance.
Both men were killed on December 15th in a roadside shooting in Alberta. They were on their way to a Calgary airport to fly home for the holidays when they were shot to death.
At the event, there will also be memorial bracelets for sale. There will be a 50/50 raffle at the game, with all the proceeds going to a scholarship set up in both men’s honor.
