The Vancouver Canucks has decided to go with Cory Schneider in the net for Game 3.

Schneider replaces Roberto Luongo in net in their first round match up with the Los Angeles Kings. The Canucks made the switch in an attempt to avoid a 0-3 start to the eighth-seeded Kings.

Luongo lost both games 4-2 at home, however, head coach Alain Vigneault claims the losses were not on Luongo. Schneider has five playoff appearances in his career, which all came last year in his first NHL postseason experience.

Schneider went 20-8-1 this season with a 1.96 goals-against average as Luongo’s backup.
