Miami quarterback Ryan Williams has the eyes of the Miami football program on him.

Williams is expected to complete for the Hurricanes starting quarterback this upcoming season. He threw for 169 yards on 15-of-27 passes in the annual spring game held on Saturday.

Williams had to sit out last season after coming to Miami from the Memphis Tigers. He will battle with Stephon Morris for the starting job, but Morris has missed the spring surgery due to back surgery.

“It’s more of what we do in the summer and fall,” Williams said. “It’s not how we finished this. It’s how we continue to improve heading into the season.”
