The Southeast Missouri State football program is in the news for all the wrong things.
There are ten football players from the school that could be facing discipline from a hazing incident. These same players are not expected to face criminal charges from the incident.
Last Friday, the ten players in question wrapped the arms, legs, and mouths of some of their teammates with duct tape. Afterwards, they were carried from the locker room to the field at Houck Stadium.
Currently, the names of the athletes in trouble are not being released. The Cape Girardeau County prosecuting attorney office’s has declined to press charges at this time.
The university has a strict anti-hazing policy after a 1994 incident, where a hazing incident turned fatal at a fraternity. Then student Michael Davis died from a severe beating at the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
