The Angeles traded for Zack Greinke from the Milwaukee Brewers. The Rangers are currently 4 games up on the Angels in the Division standings.

The Rangers are reportedly in heavy talks with the Miami Marlins over Josh Johnson. With the Marlins in yet, another fire sale, the Marlins are expected to trade the 28-year-old.

The price is reportedly very high as Johnson is under contract for the rest of this season and all of next season. He is expected to make $13.75 million next season.

The Rangers are not the only team talking to the Marlins about Johnson. The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles are also in the mix.
