Dooling, a point guard, reportedly signed on a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

He averaged 4.0 points and 1.1 assists last season with the Celtics. He played in 46 games, which was his first season in Boston.

In his 12-year career, he is averaging just 7 points and 2.2 assists in 721 games. He has previously played for the Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Clippers.

“Keyon’s veteran leadership was a very welcome addition to our locker room last season,” said Danny Ainge, Celtics president of basketball operations. “His infectious energy both on and off the court is a great asset for this team.”
