Redskins not optimistic about DE Adam Carriker’s injury

The Washington Redskins are expecting to lose defensive lineman Adam Carriker for an extended period of time.

He is expected to undergo surgery after seriously injuring his knee against the St. Louis Rams. He was injured on the second play on the game, and never returned to the lineup.

He will have an MRI on Monday, but the Redskins management are not optimistic about his injury.

“It doesn’t look good,” coach Mike Shanahan said.
