The Minnesota Twins have made relief pitcher Matt Capps a free agent.
The Twins elected not to accept his $6 million club option for the 2013 season. He has received a $250,000 buyout from his contract.
Now, he will be a free agent eligible to sign with any team. He was limited to 30 appearances this season due to a rotator cuff injury.
In 29 1/3 innings, he had a 3.68 ERA with 14 saves and 18 strikeouts.
