The lockout resumes, but the NHL and the NHLPA are expected to meet on Monday.

Sidney Crosby

The season is hanging in the balance, as the two sides fight over money. The last time there was a lockout, it cost teams the 2004-05 season.

There is speculation that a season could start on December 1st, but it is hard to imagine that with the two sides arguing with each other. It is still possible to save the season.

If the season is saved and it is not on December 1st, the team could possibly start on January 1st. It would allow both sides to complete the contract and start practicing for the season.
