The New York Yankees are waiting to hear an answer back from pitcher Andy Pettitte by the end of next week.
He is expected to decide if he will play next season, or retire again. There is speculation that the veteran left-hander will return to the Yankees for next year.
But nothing is official yet. He is 40-years-old, and may not want to put his body through another season.
This past season, he made 12 starts for the Yankees and pitched 75 1/3 innings. He had a 2.87 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP.
He made $2.5 million last season.
