After CM Punk had emergency surgery on Tuesday, WWE officials have said that he is in no condition to defend his WWE title.
Punk had a brutal encounter with Ryback this past Monday on Raw, which resulted in a knee injury. Punk had surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus.
The surgery was successful, but resulted in Punk being unable to defend his title against Ryback at the TLC pay-per-view. Ryback has had several shots at the WWE title, before run-ins by Brad Maddox and the Shield.
The Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon will give Ryback another shot against CM Punk in the very near future. According to McMahon, he has made the following match for the pay-per-view.
Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns, who are known as the Shield, will be challenging WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) and Ryback.
On Monday night, the Shield attacked Kane and Daniel Bryan after their match with the Prime Time Players. The newly created match will be a tables, ladders, and chairs match.
But for the first time ever, the match will only be decided by pinfall or submission.
