The Vancouver Canucks will be without forward David Booth for at least a month.
He is not expected to return to the team until late February after suffering a groin injury. He actually suffered the injury during a preseason physical.
“Booth had an MRI done (Tuesday),” said Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault. “He will be out approximately 4-to-6 weeks.”
Last season, he missed a month of the season from early December through mid-January with a right knee injry. He sustained a sprain to his MCL in his right knee.
He also missed three months in the 2009-10 season when he played for the Florida Panthers from a concussion. He suffered the concussion after a vicious hit from then-Philadelphia Flyers captain Mike Richards.
