The Charlotte Hornets are engaged in talks with the Washington Wizards. Those talks are centered around Bradley Beal.
On Monday, it was announced that the Wizards were making all their players available in trade scenarios. That includes stars John Wall and Beal.
The Hornets already have the game’s leading scorer in Kemba Walker. He has scored 103 points in his last two games.

Charlotte is 8-8 on the season and is presently the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Wizards are 5-11 this season. They are presently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference. Only the Top 8 teams would make the playoffs.
According to ESPN.com’s NBA Trade Machine, the Hornets could trade Nicolas Batum to the Wizards straight up for Beal. At this time; however, it is not clear who would be involved in a package to get Beal.
Beal is the most desirable trade asset the Wizards have. The former third overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft has spent his entire seven-year career in Washington.
The 25-year-old St. Louis, Missouri native has made 16 starts this season. He is averaging 21.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 33.8 minutes per game.

Beal is making $25.4 million this season. He will be under his new team’s control for two more seasons after the 2018-19 season. He is slated to make $27 million in 2019-20 and $28.7 million in 2020-21 before becoming a free agent in the summer of 2021.
