The Klitschko brothers have been dominant in boxing. Both Vitali and Wladimir are title holders, and they are going to continue to be.

It seems like the only boxer that could beat them are their selves. But that’s actually hard to do because these Ukrainians hardly ever lose.

Wladimir did not need long to get rid of Ray Austin in their fight on Saturday at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany. In fact, the boxing match only took two rounds.

Klitschko knocked out Austin just 1:23 into the second round. With the KO, Klitschko retained his IBF Heavyweight Championship.

“I was surprised he got back up, but he wasn’t clear in the head,” Klitschko said. “I was motivated by the talk from Austin and his promoter, Don King, before the fight.”

The three judges were not needed in the fight, as it came down to a knockout. Klitschko was leading 10-9 on all three judges scoreboards in each round before the knockout.

With the win, the Ukrainian improved to 48-3 in his career. He also recorded his 43rd career knockout.

Austin dropped to 24-4 in his career. He has four draws and 16 knockouts.

“What you saw today, you’re going to more of the future — Wladimir is developing new punches, besides the right and the jab,” trainer Emanuel Steward said.
