Simulation: RedHawks defeat the Cardinals 2007 season opener

The Miami (Ohio) RedHawks defeated the Ball State Cardinals in our whatifsports.com simulation. The RedHawks won the simulation 31-30.

Ball State quarterback Nate Davis went 15 of 25 for 309 yards. He had two touchdown passes and an interception.

MiQuale Lewis had 23 carries for 56 yards and two touchdowns. Louis Johnson had three receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Miami (Ohio) quarterback Daniel Raudabaugh went 26 of 42 for 354 yards. He had three touchdown passes and one interception.

Brandon Murphy had 14 carries for 54 yards. Dustin Woods had four receptions for 69 yards.

Miami (Ohio) had three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. They outscored Ball State 21-16 in the second half.

RedHawks’ Cory Jones scored a four-yard rushing touchdown. Following the score, Woods made a two-point conversion.

Raudabaugh hit Jones for a 47-yard touchdown reception. He also hit Jake O’Connell for the game-winning 36-yard touchdown as time expired.

Lewis scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. He also scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.

Ian McGarvey made a 46-yard field goal.

Ball State led 14-10 at halftime. Davis hit Joe Everett for a seven-yard touchdown reception. He also hit Johnson for a 54-yard touchdown reception.

Raudabaugh hit Eugene Harris for a 12-yard touchdown reception. Nathan Parseghian made a 24-yard field goal.
