Simulation: Rebels use a big fourth quarter to beat the Aggies

According to our whatifsports.com simulation, the UNLV Rebels will defeat the Utah State Aggies, 31-28. The Rebels used a big fourth quarter to get the win.

The Rebels had 378 total yards in 27 minutes and 41 seconds. The Aggies had 311 total yards, while having the ball for 32 minutes and 19 seconds.

Leon Jackson went eight-of-18 for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Omar Sawyer led the Aggies with a catch for 51-yards and a touchdown. Kevin Robinson had three catches for 45 yards, while Doug Barbour had three catches for 13 yards. Derrvin Speight had a catch for six yards.

Curtis Marsh led the ground attack with 12 carries for 66 yards. Jackson had 16 carries for 55 yards and Robert Turbin had six carries for 39 yards. Speight had 15 carries for 30 yards and Jimmy Bohm had six carries for six yards.

Travis Dixon went 18-of-33 for 262 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Casey Flair had four receptions for 82 yards, while Ryan Wolfe had four receptions for 48 yards. Rodelin Anthony had three catches for 43 yards and three touchdowns. Aaron Straiton had three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Robert Paulele had two receptions for 22 yards. Lorenzo Bursey added a catch for 17 yards and Frank Summers had a catch for 12 yards.

Ronnie Paulo had a sack for the Rebels. The Aggies were led by Devon Hall, Geno Odong and Josh Taylor, who had the three interceptions. Carl Singleton also had a sack for them.

Sawyer caught a 51 yard touchdown with six seconds remaining to cut the lead to 31-26. They converted a two-point conversion to make it 31-28.

The Rebels began the fourth quarter with two touchdowns. Sergio Aguayo made it 31-20 after connecting on a 25 yard field goal.

The Aggies had 13 points in the third, including a 96-yard punt return for a touchdown. Peter Caldwell also made two field goals in those 15 minutes.

The Rebels led 14-7 after the first quarter.
