No. 6 Gators dominate Western Kentucky, winning 49-3

The No. 6 Florida Gators defeated the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday. The Gators won 49-3 over the Hilltoppers at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. 

With the win, the Gators improved to 1-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers fell to 0-1 overall.

Gators quarterback Tim Tebow went 13 of 17 for 300 yards. He had three touchdown passes.

Kestahn Moore had 16 carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Riley Cooper had four receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns. 

Hilltoppers quarterback K.J. Black went 10 of 13 for 102 yards. 

Tyrell Hayden had 11 carries for 32 yards. Jessie Quinn also had two receptions for 48 yards. 

Florida outscored Western Kentucky 21-0 at halftime. Tebow hit Cooper for a 42-yard touchdown reception. 

Moore scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Cam Newton scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown. 

The Gators led 28-3 at halftime. Tebow scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Tebow hit Cooper for a 59-yard touchdown reception. Tebow also hit Percy Harvin for a 19-yard touchdown reception. 

Moore also scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. 

Western Kentucky’s Chris James made a 26-yard field goal.
