The Florida Gators dominated the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday to begin their season. The Gators won 49-3 over the Hilltoppers at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.

For his performance in the game, we are awarding defensive lineman Derrick Harvey with a virtual game ball. In the win, he had three total tackles. He also had 2.0 sacks.

The 2.0 sacks were the most since his previous game when he had 3.0 sacks in the BCS National Championship game in a win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also had four tackles in the contest.

Harvey is hoping to have a good season, like he had in 2006. Three times during the 2006 season, Harvey had 2.0 sacks or more in a game.

He had 2.0 sacks against the Kentucky Wildcats on September 23rd, 2006. Then, he had 2.0 sacks in the Gators loss to the Auburn Tigers on October 14th.

And he had the aforementioned 3.0 sacks against the Buckeyes on January 8th, 2007.
