Colts use big second half to beat Saints in NFL Kickoff Game

The reigning Super Bowl champions, the Indianapolis Colts, won their first game of the 2007 season. The Colts defeated the New Orleans Saints 41-10 at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

With the win, the Colts improved to 1-0. The Saints fell to 0-1.

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning went 18 of 30 for 288 yards. He had three touchdown passes.

Joseph Addai had 23 carries for 118 yards and one touchdown. Reggie Wayne had seven receptions for 115 yards and two touchdowns. 

Saints quarterback Drew Brees went 28 of 41 for 192 yards. He had two interceptions. 

Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister led the team with 38 carries. Bush had 12 carries for 38 yards. McAllister had 10 carries for 38 yards. 

Eric Johnson had eight receptions for 57 yards. 

The Colts had a big second half. The team outscored the Saints 31-0 in the second half. 

Addai had a two-yard rushing touchdown. Manning hit Wayne for a 28-yard touchdown reception. 

Manning also hit Wayne for a 45-yard touchdown reception. Matt Giordano had an 83-yard interception return for a touchdown. 

Adam Vinatieri also made a 33-yard field goal.

Both teams scored 10 points in the first half. Manning hit Marvin Harrison for a 27-yard touchdown reception. 

Vinatieri also made a 33-yard field goal. 

Saints’ Jason David scored on a 55-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Olindo Mare also made a 34-yard field goal.
