No. 5 Gators beat down No. 22 Tennessee, winning 59-20

The No. 5 Florida Gators football team defeated the No. 22 Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday. The Gators won 59-20 over the Volunteers at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.

The Gators improved to 3-0 on the season. The Volunteers fell to 1-2 overall.

Gators quarterback Tim Tebow went 14 of 19 for 299 yards. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.

Tebow had 18 carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Percy Harvin had four receptions for 120 yards.

Volunteers quarterback Erik Ainge went 26 of 41 for 249 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.

Arian Foster had 11 carries for 26 yards. Josh Briscoe had eight receptions for 76 yards.

The Gators outscored the Volunteers 31-7 in the second half. Dustin Doe had an 18-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Harvin scored on a 19-yard rushing touchdown.

Tebow scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown. Cam Newton had a four-yard rushing touchdown.

Joey Ijjas made a 25-yard field goal.

Florida led 28-13 at halftime. Brandon James had an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Tebow hit Riley Cooper for a 30-yard touchdown reception. Tebow scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown.

Tebow hit Cornelius Ingram for a 20-yard touchdown reception.

Vols’ Ainge hit Chris Brown for a 15-yard touchdown reception. Eric Berry had a 96-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Daniel Lincoln made two field goals. He first made a 28-yard field goal.

He also made a 22-yard field goal.
