The No. 3 Florida Gators defeated the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday. The Gators won 30-24 over the Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi.
The Gators improved to 4-0 on the season. This was Florida’s closest contest thus far this season after three straight blowouts.
The Rebels fell to 1-3 overall.
Gators quarterback Tim Tebow went 20 of 34 for 261 yards. He had two touchdown passes.
Tebow had 27 carries for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Percy Harvin had 11 receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown.
Rebels quarterback Seth Adams went 18 of 31 for 302 yards. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 11 carries for 37 yards. Michael Hicks had three receptions for 89 yards.
Ole Miss outscored the Gators 18-16 in the second half. Adams hit Hodge for a 19-yard touchdown reception.
Adams hit Mike Wallace for a 77-yard touchdown reception. Joshua Shene also made a 22-yard field goal.
Tebow scored on a six-yard rushing touchdown. Tebow hit Louis Murphy for a 37-yard touchdown reception.
Joey Ijjas made a 25 yard field goal.
Florida led 14-6 at halftime. Tebow scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown.
Tebow hit Percy Harvin for a 19-yard touchdown reception.
Rebels’ Shene made two field goals. Shene made a 40-yard field goal.
He also made a 32-yard field goal.
