Frazier is arguably the best player on his team, as a junior. He said he is getting recruited by Rutgers, South Carolina, Siena, Kansas State, among others. Several college coaches were talking about his play during the game.

“I think my performance (yesterday) was good,” said Frazier. “I had to step it up, because they needed me to score. I had to step it up for us to get a big win. It’s the primetime tournament, where everybody watches.”

Bishop Loughlin’s head coach Rudy King had high praise for Moore.

“He was tough,” said King. “He’s the kind of kid that I would love to coach, because he stays strong and attacks the basket. He hit some big shots for them. He’s just one tough kid. I really enjoyed watching him.”

Trevon Hamlet from Bishop Loughlin intercepted a pass with Union trying to score with a minute and 5 seconds remaining. Hamlet’s steal forced Union to foul throughout the rest of the game.

“We’re used to playing defense every day, so I was ready for the steal,” said Hamlet.

Bishop Loughlin would hit some free throws down the stretch to end the game.

“Free throws at the end of the game are something that you have to become consistent with to become a successful team,” said King. “So, it’s just a matter of us continuing to work hard in practice and trying to get better.”

After Frazier, Hamlet had 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Antoine Brown had 10 points and 10 assists. Rasi Jenkins had 4 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

“I knew I had to step up, because this game was on the national stage,” said Hamlet. “And I had a big game in the public before, so I wanted to play hard and give it all I had. So, I just had to keep going and play hard.”

There would be 3 other players’ to score a point in the game for Bishop.

“The PrimeTime Shootout is a premiere tournament,” said King. “Its always good to come out and our kids really enjoy coming out and playing on this type of stage. You get an opportunity to showcase your talents on a national level. And at the end of the day, it’s all about the recruitment of the players.”

Aishon White was the second leading scorer in the game for Union. He had 12 points in the game. Dion Nesmith was the third leading scorer in the game for Union. He had 10 points in the game.

There would 6 other players’ to score a point in the game for Union.

“I think they’re a pretty aggressive team,” said Hamlet. “They played as a team.”

Bishop was leading by 9 points at halftime. They were up 44-35 at halftime.

“The halftime lead, I just thought that realistically, it should have been more, because we turned the ball over a lot,” said King. “We didn’t capitalize on their turnovers that we created. But we were confident coming in.”
