“The difference between a good team and an average team is the level of consistency. I was fortunate to coach under several exceptional head coaches – two of which were Don James at the University of Washington and Ted Tollner at San Diego State University.”

Dickens took over a team that went 3-8 during the 2008 season. That team ended the season on a five-game losing streak.

Their three wins came against Saint Joseph’s College (Indiana) in a 31-27 win on September 6th. They also won 37-30 over Stillman College on September 27th.

The team also won 31-29 over Central State University on October 4th.
