The Philadelphia Eagles have traded their franchise cornerstone to another team. To make matters worse, the team is the Washington Redskins.

Donovan McNabb was traded to the Redskins for a 2010 second-round draft pick. Included in the package is a 2011 conditional draft pick.

This conditional pick will be a third-round draft pick if McNabb is voted to the Pro Bowl in 2010. The other stipulation is that the Redskins win at least nine games with McNabb playing in 70% of the snaps.

If neither of those stipulations materializes, it will be a fourth-round draft pick.

With this trade, he will get to play within the Division against the Eagles. This means he will be able to play against his former team twice a year now.

He is expected to be the Redskins new starter. Jason Campbell was the team’s starter in 2009.

The 28-year-old Campbell appeared in 16 games, starting every game. He; however, went 4-12 as a starter.

The Redskins hope to improve that with this trade. Campbell went 327 of 507 for 3,618 yards. He had 20 touchdown passes and 15 interceptions.

McNabb was traded after guiding the Eagles to a 10-4 record as a starter in 2009. He missed two of the team’s games.

He went 267 of 443 for 3,553 yards. He also had 22 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions.

With the Eagles, McNabb appeared in 148 games. He made 142 starts. In those games, he went 92-49-1.

McNabb went 2,801 of 4,746 for 32,873. He had 216 touchdown passes with the Eagles. He also threw 100 interceptions.
