The New York Knicks will be getting back Danilo Gallinari on Monday. He has not had any set backs at today’s practice.
Gallinari will be returning against the Phoenix Suns at Madison Square Garden.
Gallinari has missed the past six games with a knee sprain. He was first expected to return on Friday night against the Sacramento Kings.
However, he did not play in the game against the Kings. He has been out of the lineup since January 2nd.
Gallinari missed the Knicks four-game West Coast trip, including stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Portland, and Utah. He also missed home games against the San Antonio Spurs and the Kings.
The Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, Italy native had 19 points in the Knicks win over the Pacers on Jan. 2. He also had five rebounds and one assist in the contest.
He has played in 33 games this season. He is averaging 15.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
He is also a favorite of Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni.
The 19-points against the Pacers were the most he had in a game since Dec. 17 when he had 25 points in a loss to the Miami Heat.
His best game of the season came in a 31-point performance against the Los Angeles Clippers in a win on Nov. 20. He also had four rebounds, two assists, and four steals in the game.
