“Words can’t describe how excited I am about this once in a lifetime opportunity,” Bowers said. “I have a road of hard work ahead of me but I know that I have a strong support system at Niagara. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it.”

Bowers was the 2010 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and had a career-low 0.63 goals against average in the 2010 season. Her 0.63 GAA was 19th overall in the nation. She also had a .888 save percentage, which was sixth in the nation.
