The Atlanta Dream has added two new principals to its ownership group. Dream owner Kathy Betty has added Mary Brock and Kelly Loeffler to make the WNBA’s new all-female ownership group.
Betty is still the managing partner for the team. However, it is not known how much stakes Brock and Loeffler are getting in the team. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported that Brock and Loeffler will invest $1 million in the team.
Brock is a philanthropist and the wife of Coca-Cola Enterprises chief John Brock. Loeffler is the Vice Present of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Atlanta-based IntercontinentalExchange.
The Dream lost to the Seattle Storm in the 2010 WNBA Finals. It was the first time the Dream has reached the Finals in their young history. The Dream averaged 6,293 in attendance, which was the third-lowest in the league last year.
