Ravens future HOF LB Ray Lewis intends to play football in 2011

Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis is not retiring. At least not yet.
 
Lewis confirmed that he intends to play football again in 2011. Lewis will be 35 years old in March but is still a tremendous leader.

The Barlow, Florida native led the Ravens in tackles for a fifth straight year in 2010. He is still one of the top run-stopping linebackers in football.

Lewis is not only one of the better players on his team, but he’s also one of the all-time greats at his position. Once he does call it a career, he’ll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
 
But right now, he’s just focusing on the 2011 and potentially a 13th Pro Bowl.
 
He was previously a first-round draft pick by the Ravens in the 1996 NFL Draft. He was the 26th overall pick in that draft.
 
In his career, Lewis has appeared in 210 games from 1996 through 2010. He has made 209 starts.
 
Lewis has had 1,907 tackles, including 95 tackles for a loss. He had 34 quarterback hits and one safety.

He had 38.5 sacks. Lewis had a career-high 5.0 sacks during the 2006 season.
 
Lewis had 30 interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. He also had 16 forced fumbles, 19 fumble recoveries, and 88 pass deflections.
 
During the 2010 season, Lewis went to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year. He also made 16 starts.
 
He had 139 tackles, including four tackles for a loss. He also had four quarterback hits.
 
Lewis had 2.0 sacks. He also had 2 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. He had two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and four pass deflections.
