NASCAR Truck Series driver Austin Dillon won the Daytona pole. He will lead the field for the 12th Annual NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He won the pole with a lap of 179.047 mph. Dillon beat out a field of 46 drivers to claim the pole.

This is Dillon’s 8th pole in his career in the Truck Series. This will be Dillon’s 28th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.

It is his first pole since the Ford 200 on November 19th, 2010, at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.
Dillon picked up his first pole at Daytona International Speedway. Outside of Homestead-Miami, he also picked up a pole at Fort Worth, Michigan, Iowa, Kentucky, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.
All of his eight Truck Series poles have come with the Bass Pro Shops sponsorship.
Dillon is looking to win his third Truck Series race this weekend in Daytona. He previously won at Iowa and Las Vegas.

The grandson of Richard Childress will lead a Top 5 that also includes James Buescher, Ron Hornaday Jr., Ricky Carmichael, and rookie Johanna Long.
The No. 3 Silverado is linked to the Dale Earnhardt and Childress family legacies. It is a historic number in the spot, especially for all of Earnhardt’s fans.
