The Indianapolis Colts feel like they’ve made progress with Peyton Manning.

Manning and the Colts have been working on a long-term contract extension. However, it is taking longer than both sides had hoped since they were not able to get a contract extension done yet. As a result, the Colts had to use the franchise tag.

Colts President Bill Polian said on Wednesday that the negotiations with Manning are progressing. The Manning contract extension is the team'[s main priority this off-season.

“I would say we are simply moving ahead at a steady pace, but nothing is imminent,” Polian said.
