Tannenbaum and Ryan have previous television experience, as HBO’s “Hard Knocks” reality show was taped this past summer from the Jets camp.

This is nothing new to Jets head coaches. Former Jets head coach Eric Mangini made a cameo on “The Sopranos” in 2007.

Ryan and Tannenbaum have some down time to film the show in between scouting players, the NFL Combine, and before the NFL Draft in April. In July 2010, both Ryan and Tannenbaum signed contract extensions with the Jets through the 2014 season.

During the 2010 season, Ryan guided the Jets to an 11-5 record in the regular season. The team made the playoffs.

The Jets defeated the Indianapolis Colts 17-16 in the Wild Card Round. Then in the Divisional Round, they defeated Division rival, the New England Patriots, 28-21.

Their season came to an end during the AFC Championship game. They were defeated 24-19 by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
