Steven Threet has retired from football.

Threet has decided to walk away from football after suffering four concussions in five years. He suffered two concussions this past fall after playing for the Arizona State football team.

He said he suffered a concussion on October 23rd at California. A few weeks later, he suffered another concussion on November 26th against UCLA. That ended his junior year and his football career.

Threet told The Arizona Republic that he’s still experiencing symptons from his last concussion. He said he’s suffering headaches and has trouble sleeping. Threet says he’s also suffered concussions while playing at Adrian (Michigan) High School and at Michigan.
