The Atlanta Hawks could be without Josh Smith for several weeks.
Smith suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee Monday night. He suffered the injury, while the Hawks were playing against the Denver Nuggets and did not return.
He finished the game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. Hawks Public Relations spokesman Arthur Triche spoke with Smith in the locker room and reports that Smith was held out for precautionary reasons.
Smith may been to take an MRI on his knee. This would give the Hawks an official timetable on how long he will be out.
