Brandon Jacobs is sticking his self out there on a climb here.

Jacobs has said he thinks the team should try to bring back free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress. Burress will be out of the league for two years when he gets out of jail. Burress is still in jail.

Burress was sent to jail after shooting his self in the leg at a New York City club. Burress had the gun illegally on his self and in the club when it accidentally went off, striking his leg. Burress is expected to be out of jail in the coming weeks.

“No question,” said Jacobs. “If Plax comes back, that puts us back at the top of the league, ASAP, no question.”

Giants GM Jerry Reese has said he will contact Burress about playing for the Giants once he’s released.
