The Philadelphia Soul held their first Soul Squad tryouts since returning to the Arena Football League yesterday.
The Soul Squad tryouts were held at the Montgomery County Sports Performance Center. All participants had to pay either $10 dollars in advance, or $20 yesterday. The tryouts lasted about two hours.
There were 17 participants, who registered. However, only 12 will make the team. The team will be divided into a roster of 6 guys and 6 girls.
The Soul Squad head coach will determine who will be on the team by Tuesday. He will be calling the members of the team over the phone instead of telling them in front of the others yesterday. The members of the team will likely practice on Sunday’s at the Performance Center. They have decided to practice on Sunday, because of everybody’s schedule.
The Soul Squad will be asked to perform during timeouts at Soul home games, starting April 15th. The team will act as a stunt/promotions team that will do promotions on the field.
