Razorbacks’ Ryan Mallett admits to drug use at the combine

There are also reports that say that Mallett was a drug addict. However, we have been unable to confirm those reports. In the combine interviews, he came clean about his recreational drug use. But he never had a positive drug test at Arkansas. Mallett had a reputation of being a big party guy at Arkansas. According to the report by Pro Football Weekly, the unknown GM said that Mallett was the first quarterback, who admitted to him that he used drugs during his interviews. He was considered to be honest about his past. This omission could impact his draft stock in the weeks ahead. He was arrested for public intoxication while at Arkansas. “I would not take him at any point,” one executive not in need of a quarterback said, according to PFW. Mallett began his career with the Michigan Wolverines. He excelled with the Razorbacks after seeing an increase in playing time. As a college football player, he started 29 games. He made 37 appearances with the Wolverines and Razorbacks. He went 552 of 955 for 8,385 yards. He had 69 touchdown passes and 24 interceptions. In his final campaign at Arkansas before declaring for the 2011 NFL Draft. He went 266 of 411 for 3,869 yards. He had 32 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions.
