The Denver Nuggets have re-signed Arron Afflalo.
Afflalo’s contract is for five-years and could be worth $43 million. Afflalo is the second member of last year’s team to re-sign with the team in recent days, as Nene signed a five-year, $67 million deal.
Last season, he averaged 12.6 points per game in 69 starts. He also averaged 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.5 steals.
Afflalo has the confidence of head coach George Karl. Karl has called Afflalo one of his favorite players he ever has coached.
Afflalo is expected to start at the shooting guard, alongside point guard Ty Lawson. This is the same backcourt that helped the Nuggets’ 18-7 run after the February trade of Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks.
