The No. 3 Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl. The Cowboys won 41-38 over the Cardinal in overtime at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
This was the only meeting between the two schools.

Cowboys quarterback Brandon Weeden went 29 of 42 for 399 yards. He had three touchdown passes and one interception.

Justin Blackmon led the backs, as he had one carry for 52 yards. He also had eight receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns.
Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck went 27 of 31 for 347 yards. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.
Stepfan Taylor had 35 carries for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Montgomery had seven receptions for 120 yards and one touchdown.
Oklahoma State’s Quinn Sharp made the game-winning 22-yard field goal in the first overtime.
Each team scored 17 points in the second half.
Joseph Randle scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown to tie the game at 38 apiece. Weeden also hit Blackmon for a 17-yard touchdown reception.
Sharp also made a 19-yard field goal in the third quarter.
Luck hit Zach Ertz for a 16-yard touchdown reception. Taylor scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown.
Jordan Williamson made a 30-yard field goal.
Both teams also scored 21 first-half points. Stanford’s Luck hit Ty Montgomery for a 53-yard touchdown reception.
Jeremy Stewart scored on a 24-yard rushing touchdown. The Cardinal led 14-0 before the Cowboys scored.

Taylor also scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.
Cowboys’ Weeden hit Blackmon for a 43-yard touchdown reception. Weeden also hit Blackmon for a 67-yard touchdown reception.
Weeden also scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown.
